Concept School

A concept school is based on the philosophy of holistic learning. It is based on the premise that each person finds an identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and humanitarian values such as compassion and peace.
Any philosophical approach to education should ask: “What is the goal of education?” As the proponents of holistic education, our answer is: “The goal of education is to develop a student’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social, creative and spiritual dimensions.” Thus, the holistic approach looks at education as ‘transformative’ rather than being a tool to ‘transmit’ information. The process of learning should make a person transform by way of habit and behavioural change.

Green Valley International School is guided by UNESCO’s four pillars of education:

Firstly, the mentors will map subjects with abilities, competencies and skills; and discuss with the students in the classroom. Secondly, the students will test their abilities, competencies and skills in studios, labs and workshops by practical applications. Lastly, they will carry out real-life project, document and make presentations. Each of these stages will be seamlessly interwoven. The evaluation will take place at the third level because that will be the genuine learning of the students.

At Green Valley, learners explore their true being centered on the idea of wisdom by being closer to nature – the supreme mother. We are guided by the philosophy of joyful learning. At core, we believe that unless the learners enjoy the learning procedure, there is hardly any education. Green Valley is a learning-eco system offering skill-based integrated curriculum, high-tech environments, pedagogies of engagements, moral science, experiential learning and sports as a means of character building. We focus more on the mindfulness over marks, wisdom over information and knowledge, application over theory and joy over stressful homework.
